Internal Sales Executive

My client are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Sales Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales by utilizing telephone and email communication, as well as maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers and managing stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pro-actively generate sales through telephone and email communication with customers, always ensuring excellent customer service.

- Enter and manage sales and purchase orders accurately on their Order Processing System.

- Liaise effectively with manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of orders, keeping customers informed of any delays.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to track, analyse, and report sales data.

- Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.

- Manage inventory levels, coordinating with warehouse staff and suppliers to ensure adequate stock availability.

- Continuously update and maintain customer records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

- Assist in the resolution of customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.

- Support marketing campaigns by providing input and feedback to the marketing team.

- Attend sales meetings and provide input on sales strategies and performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the B2B sector.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.

- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

- Strong organization and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

- Experience in managing inventory levels and working with warehouse staff is an advantage.

- Understanding of CRM systems and order processing software are preferable.
