Oakleaf are currently looking for a Team Leader for our mental health service in Leicester.

We have two 4 bedroom services next door to each other that specialise in supporting people with mental health who require 24h support due to their complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.

Rate Of Pay: £12.50 per hour

Shift Patterns: Permanent

Main duties of the role:-

Working as a Care Team Leader at Mere Lodge your duties will include the following:

· Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Support Workers.

· Administer medication, conduct assessments.

· Ensure that care plans are kept up to date.

· Respect the dignity and preferences of the people we support as well playing your own part in establishing a home where everyone feels safe and confident to live their best life.

· Be involved and deliver daily activities to the people we support.

· Manage and help organise the duty rota.

· Carrying out duties as requested by senior management.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Team Leader:

· NVQ 3 or above in Health and Social Care.

· Ideally 6 month or more experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant / Senior Support Worker / Team Leader or Deputy Manager in Mental Health.

· Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.

· Good communication skills.

· Able handle sometimes challenging situations.

· Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
