We have a very exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Engineer working for a large manufacturing company in Flint. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to join a large company with a real family feel.

Responsible for monitoring, operating, driving compliance too, and reporting on, the effectiveness of Quality Management System (QMS). This includes writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development, participating in audits, championing, and providing training in the correct use of the QMS..

Supporting both UK production sites and Head Office functions in the compliance and management of the Quality Management System, ensuring robust foundations that meet our needs are in place for continuous production of safe, legal and right quality products and services.

General and Task Management

• Maintenance and control of all quality system documentation

• Generation of Group level documentation such as Procedures and Work instructions.

• Generation of appropriate and accurate complaint responses within defined timeframes

• Collation of customer opinions and feedback using a multichannel approach - social media, online product reviews etc.

• Generation of quality data with basic level of analysis to provide the business with a basis from which to create improvement programs.

• Maintain customer portal systems and customer specification databases.

• Work with Harford data to support complaint responses and highlight trends and areas for improvement.

• CAPA logging, progress reporting and verification checks

• Manage QMS change control and participate in Product Specification Change control.

• Carry out Internal Audits of the QMS

Communication, Relationship and People Management

• Clear, concise, and effective communication is key to the success of this role.

• Liaison with all internal Departments (e.g., Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing) to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice, and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Requirement to communicate with external stakeholders including customer technical departments, consumers, and auditing bodies.

• Ability to recognise what motivates others and use this to influence their decisions and thought processes.

• Lead and/or support training and education of the QMS across the business.

• Communicate effectively throughout the shop floor and with site management to maintain standards.

Responsibility

• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of specifications within Fusion system.

• Responsible for ensuring Document Control system complies with the relevant standards.

• Responsible for archiving of records in a safe and easily retrievable manner, and in accordance with GDPR and document retention requirements.

• Responsible for accurate investigation reports for customer complaints.

• Responsible for ensuring customer portals are kept up to date.

• Responsible for the quality stage of product specification change control both permanent and interim changes.

• Responsible for managing and reporting on the company's concession process.

• Responsible for providing data and running reports from all areas of the QMS to the wider quality team.

Health and safety

• Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety Rules and procedures.

• Take part in Safety Observation program.

• Ensure that all Health & Safety training requirements are identified to your manager.

• Positively challenge unsafe behaviour through coaching and listening.

• Ensure your manager is informed of people who abuse Health & safety rules and procedures.

• Where appropriate ensure a risk assessment is conducted and mitigations are put in place before undertaking any work
