Job Advert: Service Technician/MOT Tester

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells
Hours: 40 hours per week (No Weekends)
Salary: £35,000 plus Bonuses & Overtime

Responsibilities:

Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnose and repair vehicle issues efficiently and accurately.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
MOT Testing:
Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
Ensure all vehicles meet the required safety and environmental standards.
Complete all associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service, including clear explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
Communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and any necessary repairs.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
Valid MOT Tester Certificate.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Service Technician and MOT Tester.
Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
Full UK driving license.
