We are a dynamic and fast-paced haulage business dedicated to delivering outstanding logistics solutions to our clients. With a strong focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Transport Planning:

* Plan and coordinate transport schedules for a fleet of vehicles to ensure timely deliveries and collections.

* Optimise routes for maximum efficiency, considering traffic, fuel costs, and delivery timeframes.

*

Driver Coordination:

* Allocate drivers and vehicles, ensuring compliance with working time regulations and company policies.

* Act as a key point of contact for drivers during your shift, providing clear instructions and resolving issues as they arise.

Problem Solving:

* Manage unexpected changes, including delays, vehicle breakdowns, or driver absences, implementing effective solutions to maintain service levels.

Compliance Monitoring:

* Ensure adherence to transport legislation, including driver hours, tachograph requirements, and vehicle maintenance schedules.

* Maintain accurate records in line with legal and company standards.

*

Customer Communication:

* Liaise with customers to provide updates, resolve queries, and maintain excellent service levels.

*

Reporting & Handover:

* Produce shift reports and ensure a comprehensive handover to the incoming Transport Planner at the end of each shift.

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience in transport planning within the haulage or logistics sector.

* Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance standards.

* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

* Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

* A proactive and customer-focused approach to work.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
