An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Sourcing Manager with extensive experience in procurement within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will join our Procurement Department to develop and enhance our supply chain. This role involves developing and managing multiple sourcing initiatives, establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders and the supply market, and ensuring the delivery of strong contractual arrangements.

• Lead the supply chain sourcing process for a portfolio of procurement projects to ensure on-target delivery of key business projects.
• Shape and challenge business requirements using market and supplier insight.
• Develop sourcing strategies for specific projects in line with business objectives.
• Identify innovative sourcing strategies that challenge current practices and deliver best value.
• Manage and prioritise multiple sourcing initiatives effectively through agile project delivery and problem-solving skills.
• Support the development of best practices across the Procurement lifecycle and ensure regular process reviews and updates.
• Build deep and trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, engaging and influencing at senior levels.

• Strong analytical skills to present complex commercial/contractual data and concepts.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Solid negotiation, influencing, and resolution skills.
• Outstanding communication skills and a strong customer service ethic.
• Resilient and tenacious self-starter with a willingness to develop skills and experience.
• Knowledge of the water industry or category-specific supply chain is desirable.
• Proven commercial and contractual acumen.

• Experience in strategic sourcing/tendering within a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Relevant business and/or supply chain knowledge.
• Track record of delivering against targets.
• Knowledge of regulated procurement procedures (UCR or PCR) and NEC contracts.
• CIPS or MCIPS qualification, or equivalent experience in transferable expertise.
• Project management experience or qualifications.
