Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Lambeth, working specifically with Year 9 students in the classroom. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential academically and personally.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and pastoral team to ensure that students with SEN receive tailored support in all lessons, allowing them to thrive in a mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Work under the guidance of the SENCo to implement effective support strategies
Provide 1:1 and small group assistance to Year 9 students who require additional academic support
Help students remain engaged and focused during lessons, adapting materials where necessary
Support students with SEN needs, ensuring they feel confident and included in their learning
Assist students with coursework, organisation, and class participation
Liaise with teachers and support staff to track progress and adjust interventions accordinglyWho We're Looking For:

Minimum Level 3 qualification (essential)
Previous experience working in a secondary school or supporting students with SEN
A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with students
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and parents
Ability to motivate and encourage students, fostering a positive learning environment
A commitment to safeguarding and student well-beingAdditional Information:

Full-time role, Monday to Friday
Paid up to £110 per day, term time only
Based in Lambeth, London, with excellent transport links
