Shirley Parsons have partnered with a leading consultancy firm at the forefront of Fire, Health & Safety solutions, specialising in residential, commercial, industrial, and retail sectors who are looking for a Principal Consultant to join their established team. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor consultants, and make a significant impact on client safety and compliance across the UK. This opportunity is best suited to candidates residing in the North of England.

The Principal Consultant will be responsible for:

Conducting Fire, Health and Safety Risk Assessments primarily in residential sectors across Northern England.
Providing expert advice and advocacy to clients, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Developing emergency and evacuation plans, including tenant-specific strategies.
Leading and delivering client-specific projects and acting as a competent person.
Producing retrospective fire strategy reports for diverse accommodation buildings.
Advising on corporate management, conducting gap analysis, and implementing fire and health & safety management systems.
The Principal Consultant will have:

Extensive consultancy experience in fire, health & safety across residential, commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including BAFE SP205 and Type 4 Fire Risk Assessments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at client engagement and team leadership.
Membership of IFSM or IFE, alongside recognised Fire Risk Assessment and health & safety qualifications.
Self-motivation, initiative-taking, and a proactive approach to achieving targets.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry regulations.
