Well established commercial fit out main contractor is looking for experienced Technical Author to join their team in Southwark office.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, operation guides, installation instructions, and maintenance procedures.

* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather technical information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the documentation

* Review and edit documents created by others to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality

* Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance the understanding of technical information

* Ensure all documentation complies with the industry standards and regulations

* Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines

* Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to reflect changes in project specifications, equipment, and processes

* Use document management systems to organise and maintain document archives

* Provide support during technical presentations and training sessions as needed

* Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the construction industry

Skills

* Expertise in creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documents

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

* Familiarity with PDF creation and editing software

* Skilled in creating and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams and schematics

* Understanding of general engineering terms, parts and functions

* Knowledge of IEEE, and ISO and other industry specific guidelines

Qualifications

* Previous experience in technical writing or a similar role

* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation
