As a Management Accountant, you’ll play a significant role by owning the month end Management Accounts process for City Plumbing branches. The Management Accountant be supported by two Finance Analysts and you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance, efficiency and delivery of a robust set of management accounts for our City Plumbing branch networkKey Responsibilities Preparation of Financial Reports: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights to support business planning.Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.Support Decision Making: Develop financial models and provide financial advice to support strategic decision-making across the business.Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and accounting standards, including the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory reports.Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by senior management.This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our offices in Crick, NorthamptonshireYou: You’ll live and breathe our Customer First ethos, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
