We are looking for a Occupational Therapist in Newcastle Under Lyme, Stoke.
***Must be a car driver and be able to use own car***

Payrate:

Monday-Friday£19.38ph

Saturday/Nights £25.19ph

Sunday/ Bank Holiday£31.01ph

Location: Newcastle Under Lyme, Stoke

Contract: Temporary 3 months, start ASAP

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week

Job Purpose:

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will:

-Provide expert care in areas such as rehabilitation, community intervention, or reablement.

-Manage a defined caseload across community and hospital settings.

-Conduct assessments, develop, and evaluate care plans tailored to individual needs.

-Lead and support team development, training, and service improvement initiatives.

-Work creatively to address challenges and contribute to team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice

-Deliver high-quality care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and safety.

-Adjust care plans based on individual circumstances and preferences.

-Manage and transport therapy equipment safely.

-Maintain sensitive communication with service users and carers.

Leadership and Supervision

-Provide professional support to team members and students.

-Oversee caseloads, allocate tasks, and support team performance.

-Contribute to training, supervision, and appraisal processes.

Service Development

-Support policy development, audits, and service evaluations.

-Implement best practices and promote continuous improvement.

Administrative Duties

-Maintain accurate records and input data as required.

-Manage resources effectively, including stock and expenses.

Person Specification:

Essential

-Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy; HCPC registration.

-Experience: Relevant post-qualification experience and expertise in disability assessments and interventions.

-Skills: Strong leadership, caseload management, and teamwork abilities.

-Knowledge: Familiarity with NHS frameworks, safeguarding practices, and data protection.

Desirable

-Postgraduate qualifications, leadership training, or professional memberships
