Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm

We are recruiting for an Assistant Photo Editor to join a leading decorative homeware manufacturer who supply directly to businesses and consumers all around the UK.

This is a brand-new role that would be the perfect opportunity for a creative individual who is looking to kickstart their career in Photo Editing with a reputable company.

Working within the design department, you will be responsible for editing images from the onsite photography studio which are used for customer websites, product catalogues and packaging.

Reporting to the Studio Manager, the role as Assistant Photo Editor will see you develop your skills so that you can undertake the following duties;

* Working closely with the Studio Manager and Photo Editor to ensure high quality image editing / re-touching deadlines are met.

* Working on a high volume of imagery and projects.

* Use clipping paths, masking tools, colour correction and AI tools to manipulate imagery in-line with photo briefs.

* Saving imagery to the company database.

* Batch processing of images and re-sizing large quantities.

* Follow editing techniques and industry best practices.

* To support the business with other tasks, such as creating visual presentations for customer meetings.

The successful applicant will possess:

* BTEC qualification in Graphic Design or a Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media or A level equivalent.

* Good knowledge of using Adobe Photoshop.

* A good eye for detail with the ability to sport defects in images.

* Experience editing images.

* Great organisational skills with a neat and tidy work ethic.

* Capable of handling a large volume of work.

* Able to produce consistent photo reediting to ensure matching products are all uniformed across different angles and lighting.

* Good written communication and ability to speak clearly and precisely.

You do not need working experience if this is going to be your first job out of education. What you do need is a creative mindset and ideally a relevant qualification in art, design, media or graphics.

Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday & 8am - 4pm on Friday + free parking
