Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Lambeth, South East London
Salary: £85-£100 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: September 2024

Career Teachers are seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a child in a Reception Class. The child has an EHCP due to a physical condition and requires assistance with mobility around the classroom and school. Additionally, the child needs support with learning due to missed education.

About the Role:

This position is based at a welcoming Mainstream Primary School in the Clapham area of Lambeth. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience working with young children and familiarity with the EYFS curriculum in a mainstream setting. Reliability and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.

Ideal Candidates Will:

Have experience supporting children with physical conditions.
Have experience working with Early Years children in a primary school.
Occupational Therapy/Physio experience is desirable.
Hold a Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification.
Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
Have easy access to the London Borough of Lambeth.
Be committed to safeguarding and keeping children safe.
