Business Development / Account Director - Renewable Energy

Denholm are delighted to bring you this exciting role with one of our key clients who are looking for a Business Development/Account Director with experience and knowledge of the energy sector.

What We're Looking For: We're seeking someone with a proactive, positive attitude and experience in energy communications. You should have a solid track record in business development and be well-versed in delivering integrated campaigns. If you've got relevant agency or in-house experience and a strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading in business development efforts, including networking, generating leads, and being involved in proposals and pitches.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of creative communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for top-tier energy clients.
  • Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients.
  • Playing a key role in the new business strategy, pitching to external clients.
  • Guiding the content team to create compelling content tailored to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across the business with our public affairs, creative, marketing, and digital teams.
  • Mentoring junior team members and overseeing client reporting as the team grows.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A keen eye for detail and a drive to dive into our impressive portfolio of energy sector clients while supporting new business targets.
  • Proven experience managing energy communication campaigns.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects with ease.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Stakeholder engagement expertise and a sound understanding of energy policy.
  • A creative mindset, able to generate ideas and relay messages in an engaging way.
  • Exceptional people skills, from networking to client meetings to collaborating with our team.
  • The ability to stay cool under pressure while managing competing priorities.
