Reed Warrington & Widnes are exclusively recruiting for a leading healthcare client located in Widnes. My client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Secretary, initially on a temporary basis, for the successful candidate there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent. 

The successful candidate will have previous secretarial experience, ideally in a healthcare setting, and be available immediately.

  • Salary: £23,693
  • Working hours, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00 with 30 minutes for lunch -Free lunch available every day from the canteen)
  • Due to the nature of the role all 5 days are office based – No Hybrid working available
  • DBS required – Reed will process DBS application

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support within a leading specialist unit. The ideal candidate will have a secretarial background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

Duties:

  • Receive, record, and type documents, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide a confidential and efficient secretarial and administrative service.
  • Ensure all documentation meets the unit’s standards.
  • Attend and minute meetings as required.
  • Establish and maintain high-standard office practices and procedures.
  • Maintain specified records to support tasks and monitor progress.
  • Cover Reception duties as needed.
  • Attend relevant department meetings and training events.
  • Manage schedules of the director you are supporting
  • Typing Dictations, audio typing, good typing speed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Secretarial qualification and/or experience.
  • Audio-typing experience is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
