Education People are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Special Educational Needs professional to make a meaningful impact on children's learning and development.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate SEN Specialist to support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education that meets their individual requirements. You will work closely with the school's SENCO, teachers, and support staff to develop tailored learning strategies that empower students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

*

Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary to meet pupils' needs.

*

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

*

Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each pupil.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting.

*

A strong understanding of SEND frameworks and best practices.

*

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

*

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.

*

Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or equivalent experience (e.g., Level 3+ in SEN Support, Teaching Assistant qualification, or a relevant teaching degree).
