On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Programme Manager for a 6-month contract based in London one day a week in the office.
NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
Join us as a Programme Manager
As the primary point of contact for all projects within the programme, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination. You will engage with stakeholders to effectively communicate milestones and risks, ensuring transparency and alignment. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive reporting throughout the programme, keeping all parties informed of the current status and progress. Additionally, you will review and analyse underlying data, taking charge of delivery assurance to guarantee successful project outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Facilitating platform, domain, and cross-domain coordination across strategic programmes and backlogs to identify gaps, overlaps, interdependencies, and design conflicts.
- Conducting proactive reviews of all plans to ensure the effective and timely escalation of any delivery risks before they become issues.
- Evaluating plan progress in relation to delivery outcomes and ensuring compliance with all internal change assurance requirements.
- Leveraging portfolio and programme management expertise to identify risks within the portfolio, thereby enhancing overall delivery performance and outcomes.
- Ensuring all deliveries within the portfolio adhere to planned milestone timeframes.
- Reporting throughout the programme ensuring the status is updated to the relevant Stakeholders and Managers.
- Pulling together all of the information and present findings and presenting PowerPoints and packs.
The skills you'll need:
- Assurance experience.
- Reviewing data and stakeholder management experience.
- Programme regulatory background - waterfall methodology.
- Change risk experience.
- Working within banking environment beneficial.
