Accounts Senior - 4 day working week

We are excited to be working with an accountancy practice on the outskirts of Newcastle who have a refreshingly modern approach to the way they operate, offering something a little different to most of their competitors in the region.

We are looking for an accounting professional who is AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent with proven experience working in an accounting firm with UK accounts and able to prepare a set of year end statutory accounts for Manager review. You will be familiar working with cloud software such as Xero Quickbooks, Sage etc.

Your role will see you working with a varied portfolio of clients, mainly Ltd companies all under the one million turnover in size. You will be responsible for reviewing all aspects of bookkeeping, making amends where necessary and preparing VAT returns. You will need to liaise with clients to gather information and answer queries. This will help you to prepare year end statutory accounts which will include an interim 9 month review making the year end process fairly straight forward.

In time the role offers progression to Client Manager (should you wish) as the business grows and your experience matures, however those happy to remain at this level will not experience any pressure to advance.
