Our client, a leading contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries, is in need of an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the team in delivering successful industrial projects. With strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in mechanical systems, and the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing and supervising all mechanical activities, ensuring that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Support the Project Manager and oversee the day-to-day activities ensuring that all mechanical work is performed safely, on time, and to the required standards.

Oversee & verify the quality of mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety regulations.

*

Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols & perform briefings, ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

*

Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the installation process, such as design discrepancies, material shortages, or unforeseen obstacles.

*

Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to the Site Managers & Project Managers, highlighting key achievements, issues, and next steps.

*

Ensure that all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available on-site and in good working condition to avoid any disruptions to the workflow.

*

Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical-related matters on-site.

*

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that expectations are met, and any issues are promptly addressed.

*

Degree/qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

*

Proven years of experience in mechanical supervision within large-scale mechanical and electrical installations with focus on industrial projects, chilled water, and high pipework projects with projected value of £10 million.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation methods, and safety standards.

*

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
