Role Overview:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will oversee purchasing and contract management within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include raising and managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier contracts, and supporting project work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing across various indirect spend areas for the head office including office supplies, facilities, maintenance, utilities, IT equipment, and various additional service and rental contracts.
  • Maintain the supplier contracts database.
  • Source and select new suppliers as needed and tender supplier contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department on contract terms and negotiations.
  • Ensure office supplies are kept up to date.
  • Raise, issue, and receipt purchase orders, and follow up on open orders with suppliers.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are correctly billed, coded, and processed for payment.
  • Manage the Capex register, including new orders, budget tracking, and asset register tracking.
  • Provide expert advice on the business’s authorisation process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Participate in project work as required.
  • Assist with audits through sample testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Purchasing, P2P/AP management, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with contract management and supplier negotiations.
  • Proficiency in software for managing purchase orders and contracts.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of audit processes and sample testing.
