Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join our client's local nursery located in Bedlington - this role is temporary ongoing to cover long term sickness and holidays.

What's on offer?

Monday to Friday
£12.30 per hour - paid weeklyWorking as a Chef, your duties and responsibilities

Create menus, prepare and cook food - noting any special dietary needs
Source, place and manage orders for necessary food ingredients and kitchen cleaning consumables
Check and record all food and kitchen consumables deliveries, quantities of ingredients used and the number of meals produced and served
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, its equipment and surrounding areas
Ensure the Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times
Report faults in equipment and request necessary day to day maintenance of premises
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
Support room staff with meal times and helping to serve food, encouraging children to eat and always seek to improve the quality of service
Ensure that child protection and safeguarding procedures are always prioritisedTo be successful within this role you will have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate, and a Food allergens certificate. Combined with the following traits:
