We're working with a main contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for heavy civil engineering projects up to £100m. The projects will be delivered for a mixture of clients through frameworks and one-off tenders for the likes of Hampshire County Council, National Highways and water companies.

They are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support individual projects up to £100m or oversee multiple lower value schemes. Each of these projects will have a structured team of Quantity Surveyors and a commercial support who you'll work closely with to achieve the best results for both contractor and client.

Senior Quantity Surveyor duties:

* Working with the project team to record costs, change and variation

* Minimise cost and risk of the project and enhance value for money

* Provide commercial support to the engineering staff

* Manage costs and budget in line with the NEC contract

* Raise early warning notices, compensation events

* Forecasting and CVR's

Experience of working the water sector is favourable but not essential however we expect a Senior Quantity Surveyor to have shown a clear route of progression through Quantity Surveying on NEC Contractual Projects. If you are Quantity Surveyor looking to make the step up, please apply.
