Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to fulfil a long-term, temporary position within a local Primary school based in Andover/

The school is a small primary school located within the heart of Andover, and aims for every child to feel valued and cared for by building trusted relationships within a safe and happy environment. All staff within the school work together to create a caring and happy learning environment for all pupils and staff alike, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

As the Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Be passionate about making a significant impact on children’s progress and attainment
• Be able to work within a class or on a 1-to-1 basis with children
• Provide support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs within the classroom

The salary for this role is currently set from £12.83 per hour.

For this role, you will be/will need:

• Ideally, recent experience working within a school setting
• A calm disposition with a good sense of humour
• A positive approach aligning with the schools values
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with both adults and pupils
• A team player with a professional attitude
• Ability to implement clear boundaries and routines
• Able to work independently and take initiative, with proficiency in Maths, English and IT
