Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled KS2 Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive primary school in Central Manchester. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, with experience in delivering engaging lessons to young learners, and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. You will be responsible for creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons to Year 2 students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students' academic and social development.
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies, ensuring a calm, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support where necessary.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the individual needs of students are met.
- Prepare students for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments, providing targeted support to ensure students achieve their potential.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of student progress and any areas for development.
- Contribute to the wider school community, participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
- Proven experience teaching Year 2 or similar age groups, with a solid understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements for Key Stage 1.
- Excellent behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive classroom environment and engage all students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to providing the highest standards of teaching and supporting students in reaching their full potential.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
