An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing team in Inverness. This role offers the chance to provide vital commercial support across Civils Asset Management and Building Asset Management frameworks for Network Rail.

About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects. Responsibilities include:
✔ Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
✔ Preparing accurate cost estimates for various remits.
✔ Engaging with clients to resolve pricing issues and commercial queries.
✔ Working closely with Site Managers to track project progress.
✔ Managing subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
✔ Overseeing change management processes and issuing early warnings where necessary.
✔ Administering contracts in line with NEC and Network Rail contractual requirements.
✔ Conducting cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and finalizing accounts for completed works.

Projects & Workstreams
The Quantity Surveying team is involved in a diverse range of projects, including:
✅ Rail & Civil Engineering: Roads, bridges, tunnels, underbridges, flood defenses, embankments, and station infrastructure.
✅ Asset Management Frameworks: Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF), and slab track projects.
✅ Clients: Local Authorities, Network Rail, environmental agencies, and private developers.

What We're Looking For
? Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC/HND/Degree).
? Strong contractual knowledge of NEC or bespoke Network Rail forms of contract.
? Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a civil engineering contracting environment.
? Rail sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
