Senior Quantity Surveyor - Large Apartment Scheme - Birmingham

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term opportunity on a major residential development? We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team on a £100m+ apartment scheme in Birmingham, with two years remaining and a strong pipeline of future work.

The Role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work permanently as the number two to the Commercial Manager, taking responsibility for multiple packages up to £10m in value. You will play a key role in ensuring commercial success, cost control, and contract management, delivering high-quality results on a complex multi-room project.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Managing multiple work packages and subcontractors
✅ Cost reporting, valuations, and forecasting
✅ Ensuring compliance with the JCT contract
✅ Working closely with the Commercial Manager and site teams
✅ Driving commercial performance and maintaining profitability

Requirements:

✔ Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
✔ Background in multi-room / high-rise residential schemes
✔ Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
✔ Ability to manage subcontractor accounts and procurement
✔ Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
