A school in Chelmsford is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from January 2025. This role starts as a long-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent after a successful probation period.

Role Details:

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant (ASD, ADHD & SEMH)
  • Key Stages: KS1 & KS2
  • Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency
  • Pay: £83 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Location: Chelmsford, Essex
  • Start Date: ASAP/February 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs in their daily learning and development.
  • Build trust and positive relationships with students.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support plans.
  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Help students develop essential life and academic skills.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with students and establish trust.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting student well-being.
