The opportunity

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for a well-qualified Lecturer in Fashion Marketing and Consumer Behaviourto join our Marketing and Branding Programme at London College of Fashion (LCF).

As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the Fashion Marketing and Consumer Behaviour course. Based in the Fashion Business School, this course provides a theoretical and practical base from which students can launch their careers in a range of fashion business roles. With experience in market research and strategic decision-making, you will guide students to engage in business simulations, collaborative industry projects and data-driven outputs to prepare for careers in fashion marketing and consumer behaviour.

You will undertake teaching and scholarly activity in relevant specialist areas, such as market research, consumer behaviour, fashion marketing, digital marketing, consumer psychology, data analysis, and sustainable business. You will work closely with the course team to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions, ensuring that developments in research, industry and the subject itself, are reflected in the curriculum.

You will also be responsible for the pastoral support, progress and attendance for a year group of undergraduate students, fostering positive student progression, engagement and experiences.

About you

You will need experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment or will possess the equivalent experience. You will also provide evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of relevant activity and that aligns with the goals of the Programme, College and University.

You will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and will be able to build positive working relationships with students. Excellent teamwork, organisational and problem-solving skills will also be essential.
