SPR are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a temporary Creche Worker based in Wolverhampton on an AD-HOC basis.The role will include working in accordance with Public Health’s overall objectives to develop coordinate and lead the children and young people within educational and community settings.Working Instructions: Hours: AD-HOC PayRate: £11.98 - £12.59 per hourLocation: WolverhamptonEssentialRequirements:
  • Enhanced DBS (Children’s) - Update Service
  • NVQ Level 2 in Early Years / Health and Social Care
  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Years / Health and Social Care
  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification
  • Experience working with children and families and running a Creche.
Main Responsibilities of a Creche Worker:
  • Engage in briefing sessions before and after group.
  • Engage in planning for each week based on children’s interest and next steps.
  • Participate in meaningful projects and interventions.
  • Invite parents and children in to a warm, welcoming environment.
  • Provide excellent quality care whilst parents are in workshops.
  • Meet each child’s needs using activities to support and encourage children’s resilience, emotional and social development through therapeutic type play.
  • Complete paperwork and keep safe and confidential, this includes registers accident/incident forms, medication, daily logs of sleep/nappy change, feeds, the child’s day
  • Follow all safety measures and familiarise yourself with all policies and procedures.
  • Ensure information is kept up to date, i.e., dietary and medical requirements.
  • Support parents when dropping off children, during lunch time family activity and when collecting at end of day.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with parents as well as children and promote building strong & caring relationships with positive interaction.
  • Provide ongoing advice for children’s needs.
  • Work as part of a skilled team, offering support to each other and adding own strengths.
