Are you an experienced Linux Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a talented individual to join our client's team, a dynamic and forward-thinking company. This remote-based role offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum and the chance to work with a variety of technologies in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Administer and support various Linux distributions, including RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu, and more.
- Work with UNIX systems, including AIX, SOLARIS, and HP-UX.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Powershell to automate system tasks and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux servers and associated technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system solutions.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Proficient in UNIX systems, including AIX, SOLARIS, and HP-UX.
- Solid scripting skills in Bash and Powershell.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Linux servers in a production environment.
- Experience with system administration tasks such as performance tuning, monitoring, and backup/recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
