RG Consultancy are working with a well-established Insurance company who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Warrington based accounts team.
This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team of an established Insurance firm, who are a leader in their market. The role will be part of a small, friendly team.
Duties:
- Retrieve and reconcile cashbooks using bank statements.
- Correctly categorise receipts and payments for each account, clearly specifying the relevant month for accurate reconciliation.
- Identify discrepancies during cashbook reconciliation and refer necessary adjustments and supporting documents to colleagues or the Accounts Manager.
- Generate computerised cashbooks from TCAS (policy software system).
- Match TCAS cashbooks with received funds.
- Investigate and follow up on payroll or pension discrepancies with the relevant third parties.
- Maintain a clear audit trail within electronic files for any discrepancies.
- Calculate amounts owed to insurers and earnings.
- Update Management Information (MI) figures in HOM, Year-to-Date (YTD) Commission, Membership Figures, and Premium and Claims Data Spreadsheets.
- Process insurer payments and update the corresponding cashbook.
- Manage the monthly credit card reconciliation and process the necessary transfers.
