Trainee Freight Forwarder

DSV are recruiting for a Trainee Freight Forwarder at Mercia Park working for the Irish department.  

After a successful probationary period we would be looking to put you forward for the “Young DSV” programme.

You will be required to do the below on a daily basis.  This is not a comprehensive list but would include the following:

Key Tasks

• Customer service on both Import and Export shipments.
• Liasing with customers and colleagues on the Telephone and Via Email
• Updating and verifying information on the DSV system, on which training would be given.
• Planning of trailers for both Northern Ireland and Ireland for export.
• Providing POD’s for customers and overseas offices.
• Resolve queries.
• Ensuring shipments are moved within a timely manner and following up on collections/deliveries.      
• General administrative tasks

Skills and Competencies

• Be Customer focused with good communication skills.
• Be reliable and punctual
• Have good IT skills with an ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Show a good attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
• Adaptable and Flexible
