JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Apprentice Primary School & Nursery Early Years Trainee Practitioner who is looking to develop their career supporting young children throughout their nursery and primary school years.

The Academy is looking for a passionate and hardworking Apprentice Primary School & Nursery Early Years Trainee Practitioner to join part of the founding team at their brand-new Primary School and Nursery in Maldon for a September 2024 intake.

As the Apprentice Primary School & Nursery Early Years Trainee Practitioner you will need to demonstrate good to outstanding practices, will need to be organised, proactive and have the ability to develop good relationships with staff, Children and parents in the school. You will be able to deliver a wide range of creative and enjoyable inside and outside activities to ensure a secure and welcoming Teaching and Learning environment.

DUTIES

On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.

Your duties as the Apprentice Primary School & Nursery Early Years Trainee Practitioner include:

  • Provide service delivery within the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, Every Child Matters and Ofsted Care Standards
  • Work in partnership and complementary to the Nursery, Reception Teacher or lead professional, in order to help meet the aims of the School
  • The Nursery, Reception Teacher or Lead Professionals are responsible for planning the overall policy and curriculum, and the Early Years Practitioners are given some responsibility for planning part of the programme and are to play a full part in its implementation
  • Develop a supportive and caring relationship with the children, providing care and attention to the children’s personal needs, undertaking activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and education requirements of individuals or groups. This will require knowledge of a range of strategies and a high level of skills developed through experience.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing to undertake training to achieve a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Must be friendly, helpful and enjoy supporting children in an educational environment
  • Must have great communication skills with the ability to liaise with Parents, Teachers and Senior Stakeholders
  • Will need good observation skills with the ability to monitor behaviour progress and possible development needs of the children
