Mechanic/Field based Engineer required for permanent position with our client based near Hadleigh, Suffolk. The Mechanic / Field based Engineer will be responsible for the service, fault finding and repair of diesel and petrol engines and machinery in the Suffolk area (van provided). This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

* Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment

* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions

* Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement technical solutions

* Perform regular inspections of equipment and systems

* Provide technical training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance

* Document all service activities and maintain accurate records

Skills:

* Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle /Plant Mechanic or similar role

* Strong knowledge of technical engineering principles

* Excellent problem-solving abilities

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

* Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members

* Full UK driving licence required for travel to client sites
