The Multi Trade Plumber is responsible for Installing, maintaining and repairing pipe including joins, valves, drains and fixtures ensuring the correct and appropriate materials for the job are used, leaving premises watertight and safe. To carry out a range of multi trade works including but not limited to all wet trades including plastering, decorating both externally and internally and tiling, minor carpentry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* To have the knowledge and skills competency in order to complete full repairs and maintenance service to a high specification quality standard using contract specifications.
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing pipe including joins, valves, drains and fixtures in all types of structures.
* To clear blockages, locate and repair leaks and make repairs to piping works leaving premises watertight and safe.
* To carry out a range of plumbing works including installing sinks and associated items to kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets.
* Coordinating with a General Contractor and other building professionals on a jobsite
* Understanding and following blueprints or building plans
* Following current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure that systems pass inspection for the first time.
* Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials purchased for the work.
* Preparing budgets and estimating costs to bid on potential work.
* Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue, and making a repair
* To display a high level of customer care when dealing with tenants and leaseholders and contribute positively towards a high-quality customer focused service.
* To promote customer satisfaction by working in a clean and tidy manner ensuring minimal disruption to residents during a repair.
* To ensure all tools and materials and any associated debris are removed from sites following repairs and homes and communal areas left in a clean and tidy state.
* To maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and ensure tools and equipment are checked regularly to ensure they remain safe and fit for purpose.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork/electronic updates within agreed timescales.
Education & Qualifications Required:
Ideally an NVQ Level 2 Plumbing.
A full, clean driving licence
