Finance Business Partner | Interim | £250 - 280 per day (Umbrella) | 6-months +

For a well-known UK charity, we're recruiting an Interim Finance Business Partner for at least 6-months to partner budget holders and to develop strong working relationships with key staff. This role will support budget holders to produce their annual budgets, and quarterly updates to year-end forecasts for all funding sources. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role will suit a part-qualified or finalist accountant with strong management accounting, business partnering, budgeting and forecasting skills - ideally with exposure to restricted funding and charity accounting.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monthly management reporting - preparing insightful monthly management accounts for a range of cost centres across income and expenditure including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments
  • Liaising with and challenging budget holders to understand variances against budget and prepare commentary
  • Business partner budget holders, responding to enquiries and supporting with technical finance advise for decision making
  • Preparing budgets for restricted funding grants submissions and fundraising bids
  • Support and challenge budget holders during annual budget preparation and quarterly updates to year-end forecast
  • Actively take part in budget and forecasting meetings with the FP&A Manager, Head of Finance, and Finance and Commercial Manager

What you'll offer us:

  • Part-qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant
  • Strong experience of producing management accounts for month-end and year-end
  • Strong annual budgeting, planning and forecasting skills
  • Strong business partnering experience, and supporting non-finance staff with technical information for decision-making
  • Strong Excel, and ideally Access Dimensions experience
  • Self-motivated, and the ability to work in a changing environment - ideally from the charity sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
