My client is a leading engineering consultancy based in central London. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative and effective engineering solutions, they pride themselves on their expertise in structural design and temporary works. We have a new opporutnity for a  dynamic and experienced Head of Temporary Works Design to lead a dedicated team and drive forward their ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Temporary Works Design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions.

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the temporary works division, aligning with the overall goals of the consultancy.

- Oversee the design and checking of temporary works schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

- Conduct regular reviews and audits of temporary works designs to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

- Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices, integrating them into the consultancy's processes and offerings.

- Represent the consultancy at industry events, conferences, and seminars, enhancing the company's profile and network.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.

- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE).

- Extensive experience in temporary works design, including leadership roles within a consultancy or construction environment.

- Strong knowledge of temporary works design principles, standards, and best practices.

- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and development.

- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
