Lead Administrative Assistant

Location: Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time

Work shifts vary to cover between hours of 7am-9pm (Mon-Thurs), 7am-5pm (Thurs), 7am-5pm (Saturday) and 7am-4pm (Sunday). Late shifts and weekend shifts on a Rota basis).

The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterborough and has 47 rooms including 1 double room with en-suite facilities. The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.

The role:

We currently have a great new opportunity for an experienced Senior Administrator to join our team at Fitzwilliam Hospital, based in Peterborough.

You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise.

The team is extremely busy and needs someone with proven high quality customer service skills, a commitment to focusing on accuracy and delivery whilst maintaining the necessary speed to ensure all tasks are completed daily.

You must be committed to upholding hospital policies and procedures and be fully IT proficient.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has had pervious experience of managing a team and/or from a healthcare background.

Duties may include looking after reception/ bookings, managing allocate, dealing with clinic changes via Maxims, annual leave cover and managing team workload when requires are some of the duties.

  • Previous Admin experience
  • Ability to make decisions and use your initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - face to face, via email and telephone.
  • Fast and efficient computer skills

  • A flexible and positive attitude
