My client is seeking a skilled junior/intermediate electrical design engineer to join a dynamic team that wishes to pursue a secure and long-term career in electrical building services design. With experience and knowledge of working as an individual or as part of an electrical building services design team for an M&E contractor or consultant.

Responsibilities

* Designing to performance specifications

* Complying with the latest British Standards, CIBSE guides, Building Regulations, and relevant design guides.

* Producing detailed electrical design documents such as layout drawings, sections, and elevations of coordinated MEP systems, LV and Comms schematics, cable calculations, and lighting calculations.

* Attending design team meetings with main contractors, architects, consultant engineers, and other subcontractors.

* Working under the supervision/guidance of a senior electrical designer.

* Communicate with the mechanical design engineers to produce detailed designs in a timely manner.

Requirements/Software Experience

* Amtech/Trimble cable calculations.

* Relux or Dialux.

* AutoCAD.

* Revitt.

* Extensive knowledge of UK building regulations.

* Proven track record detailing experience of working within UK multi-residential new build schemes.

* The ability to complete basic design tasks within a specific timeframe with minimal supervision & guidance.

* Excellent professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
