You will also prepare payroll reports, manage pensions (Aviva, LGPS, and Teachers’ Pension), and reconcile payroll-related nominal ledgers.Working closely with the HR team, you will manage the completion of the new payroll system implementation, ensuring the team is effectively trained and supported.Additionally, you will:- Oversee compliance with payroll regulations, HMRC requirements, and GDPR legislation.- Respond to payroll queries from employees, HR, and external agencies.- Continuously review and improve payroll processes About YouTo be considered as a Payroll Manager, you will need:- Relevant experience in payroll processing with computerised payroll and accounting systems, including iTrent and Sun Accounts- Experience of processing term-time-only employee pay and benefits- An understanding of payroll processes and the ability to perform complex pay calculations- Up-to-date technical knowledge of employee pay, benefits, pensions, and payroll regulations- A recognised professional qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4 in Payroll and Accounting) or equivalent experienceThe closing date for this role is Tuesday 28th January 2025 at 11.59pm.Other organisations may call this role Payroll Lead, Senior Payroll Officer, or Payroll and Benefits Manager.Webrecruit and Family Action are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
