Salary: £85 - £100/day

Twenty4seven Education are seeking a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School located in West Bromwich. For this role you will NEED to have experience and be confident working with SEND pupils on a 1-1 basis. This is a full time role and will be starting in September.

The pupil has complex and challenging behaviour and has a diagnosis of Autism. Ideally, the school need someone who has worked with pupils in KS1 and is comfortable with personal care.

SEN EXPEREINCE IS ESSENTIAL.

Typical duties of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

* Attend to the pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes

* Supervise and support pupils in access of learning

* Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans and Personal Care programmes.

* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.

* Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, problems etc.

Desirable skills -

* A good standard of general education (ie. NVQ level 2 or equivalent)

* Good numeracy and literacy skills - GCSE Maths and English

* Previous experience of working with young people

* Basic understanding of child development and learning

* Ability to use basic technology

* Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately

* Good interpersonal and communication skills

* Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation

* Feel confident working 1:1 with a child under the guidance of their teacher
