Are you passionate about IT asset management and looking for a dynamic role where you can make a real impact? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our IT Business Management Team (ITBM) as a Software Asset Manager.
About the Role:
As a key member of the ITBM, you will manage software requests through our ServiceNow Tool and oversee the lifecycle of applications within the CMDB, including all licensing requirements. You’ll work closely with the IT Software Asset Management Lead and business stakeholders to ensure timely processing of software requests, assignment of business owners to applications, and comprehensive support packages to mitigate software vulnerabilities and security issues.
Main Responsibilities as IT Asset Analyst:
- Handle service requests received into the ITBM Assignment Group.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all software assets.
- Support procurement and renewal of software licenses.
- Collaborate with various departments for accurate asset tracking.
- Prepare and generate reports of software assets for management review.
- Manage the Non-Standard Software Request (NSSR) process.
- Ensure the CMDB accurately reflects current details of approved applications.
- Manage software licenses for new employees, movers, and leavers.
- Identify unsupported applications and conduct risk assessments.
- Engage with stakeholders to proactively manage applications.
- Conduct regular audits to identify applications nearing end of support.
Skills and experience you need as IT Asset Analyst:
- Experience in Software IT asset management or a similar role.
- A customer-centric approach with a balance of financial and governance controls.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow Asset Manager or equivalent Asset Management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Adaptability to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- A team player with a collaborative mindset.
