Learning Support Assistant, Southwark, South East London

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a inclusive primary school in Southwark to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and who wants to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Learning Support Assistant Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the needs of students with learning difficulties or disabilities. You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to provide individualised support to help students achieve their full potential. Your duties will include:

Working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
Supporting students with disabilities to access the curriculum
Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all students
Monitoring students' progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students as required
Assisting with administrative tasks such as record keeping and preparing resources.

Learning Support Assistant - The Candidate:

Have a 2:1 or 1:1 from a reputable university
Experience with SEN/SEMH/SEND
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with students with learning difficulties
Be committed to providing high-quality education and support to students and will be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Be organised, reliable, and flexible, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
