The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a welcoming and inclusive school in Newham. This role involves a combination of one-to-one support and group interventions, focusing on pupils with additional learning needs to help them thrive academically and socially.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or learning difficulties.
A strong understanding of strategies to support children with SEN in both one-to-one and group settings.
Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of individual pupils.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.Key responsibilities:

Providing tailored one-to-one support to pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum effectively.
Leading small group interventions to support social, emotional, and academic development.
Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet the needs of SEN pupils.
Supporting pupils in developing self-confidence, independence, and positive behavior.
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
