Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer in the Chesterfield area for a well-known engineering company in the Chesterfield area.

Have you got a back ground in plant machinery and looking for a new challenge?

* Preparation, servicing and repair of used machines for sale.

* Workshop based and with occasional field-based servicing and repair of customers machines, including attending urgent breakdowns.

* Field based work could be anywhere in the UK, however more concentrated in the Midlands and North of England.

* Backing up the MD with Technical Support, involving technical telephone support for customers and engineers and liaison with the technical staff at the factories.

* Assisting with technical training of outside engineers.

* On occasion, to assist with some deliveries of new machines to customers. This would involve delivery by pick-up and trailer and giving a full handover of new and used machines to the user.

* Preparation and installing of options (hydraulic and electric machine features, cab builds, etc…).

The ideal candidate will be/have:

* Experienced plant & machinery technician/engineer (small plant, excavator, fork-lift, access platform, groundcare equipment etc…)

* Multi-skilled and able to demonstrate core skills in Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electric repair, fault finding and installation.

* A good knowledge of Hydrostatic Transmission is preferable.

* A good knowledge of modern industrial diesel engines, DPF and ECU is preferable.

* Good knowledge of IT

* Ability to work alone, with minimal supervision (at times) as well as within a small team

* Full clean driving license.

* Experience of towing trailers with pick up or 4x4 (not essential)

Training will be provided for the right person to fill in any skills gap. Product training, which will involve visits to manufacturers in Europe will be provided
