SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 4 - Long Term - September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a client SEND Secondary School based in Southport. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with their KS4 students who are each on their own tailored pathway to enable them to achieve a number of qualifications and develop their self esteem and social skills.

The school caters for students aged 11-19 years old with a diagnosis of Autism. Many of the students have other associated learning difficulties. The school is recognised as part of the National Autistic Society and prioritises ensuring students have the skills they need to live an accomplished and independent life when they leave school.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• A Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial but not essential. The school are willing to consider candidates from all backgrounds.
• A DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• A full educational and employment history.
