Salary: £50000 - £60000/annum

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of operational and financial responsibility to contact manage one of our major customer contracts. In this role you will be part of our senior management team driving the company forward by working with your teams to provide an excellent customer focused service. You will have overall responsibility for your department's budgets and for the delivery of daily operational activities, ensuring all contractual key performance indicators are consistently delivered in line with client expectations.
This role is significant to help assist with the company in its growth aspirations. The role will also involve departmental strategy and resource planning, ensuring that operations are in line with budgets and customer expectations.
Shift Timings; Monday to Friday
Salary: £50 000-£60 000 per annum
Responsibilities and Duties
* Leadership and direction of operations and employees.
* Direct engagement with customer for issue escalation and relationship management from an operational and commercial perspective.
* In depth understanding of customer requirements and operational capabilities to ensure KPI's are consistently exceeded.
* Financial accountability for departmental budgets and production of customer weekly costs.
* Ensure all employees are trained to the required standard through coaching and development.
* Lead a safety culture for your teams and ensure accurate reporting of all safety related matters and compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 requirements.
* Maintain and develop company standard operating procedures in line with operational requirements.
* Continual review of resources to ensure the right number and mix of personnel and equipment required to meet contractual requirements and budgets.
* Continuous improvement mentality with the view to increase success while controlling departmental costs.
* Provide reporting modules to manage departmental productivity and success aligned to customer KPI's and share with warehouse director.
* Excellent stock control ability ensuring customer inventory is managed to the highest standards.
To be successful you will:
* Demonstrate significant experience in a fast-paced warehouse and transport logistics position.
* Demonstrate significant operational management experience in a customer facing role.
* Have good knowledge awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001.
* Be customer focused, have a strong and capable management style and be analytically driven.
* Be self-driven and disciplined with the ability to work under sustained pressure to deliver high standards.
* Attention to detail and a desire to make a difference.
* Demonstrable experience in building teams that deliver in line with defined objectives, targets and KPI's.
* Ability to understand financial reporting and P&L's.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams.
* Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to write reports, strategies and proposals on a range of subjects.
* Microsoft application knowledge, particularly Excel and Outlook.
* Practical understanding and experience using warehouse management system.
* Flexibility and ability to deliver in demanding and changing circumstances.
