Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new role in Newcastle

We're a family-run lifting equipment engineering company with branches across the North of England. We're looking for experienced Maintenance Engineers to join our team as part of our exciting growth plans.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Engineer's main responsibility is to carry out pre-emptive maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists, looking at both electrical and mechanical elements.

Your Experience:

A working knowledge of 3-phase electrics is a must
Previous experience with motors, gearboxes etc. are critical to the role
Ideally the candidate should have experience with overhead cranes and lifting equipment, but this is not essential as full training will be given

The role is mobile, with work taking place on client sites as required, with occasional work away required.

The initial role is purely to form part of the maintenance squad but there is a significant growth opportunity to develop into a full Breakdown and Installation Engineer.

The ideal candidate will need to be:

Proactive
Have a can-do attitude
Have excellent attention to detail
Problem Solver
Be able to work under pressure
Must be comfortable working at a height
Valid Forklift and MEWP licences are desired although full training will be given

As a company, we put people at the forefront of what we do, so the personality of the successful candidate is as important as the technical ability. We are looking for someone who has the ability to communicate effectively, can remain calm under pressure and has a strong desire to succeed.

This is a role which requires flexibility as there are extensive overtime opportunities to service the client's needs. There is a call-out rota on a 4-weekly basis. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service, so the successful candidate must be willing to go the extra mile to help us achieve this.

In exchange, we offer strong rates of pay, with extensive overtime opportunities, use of the van, an iPad, a development path for our high achievers and a staff profit share at year-end. To join the team, at a truly exciting time for the company, please apply today
