Barker Ross Recruitment are currently looking for a Gantry Crane Operator in the Skelmersdale area.
We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials safely and efficiently.
You will be working within a Precast facility.
Duties will include:
Operate Ganrty cranes to lift and transport materials within the Precast factory.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on crane equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials during shipping and receiving operations.
Assist in loading and unloading lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Maintain accurate records of materials handled and movements conducted throughout the shift.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
Engage in continuous training to enhance skills related to crane operation and materials handling.
Monitoring crane stability and load weightsRequirements
Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or construction environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety standards.Pay & Shift:
£14 Per Hour PAYE
8AM-6PM Monday to Friday
50 hours paid per week
Temp-Perm
