Calling all Resident Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Resident Engineer to work alongside a reputable design consultancy on a long-term contract basis in London. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of brilliant Data Centre projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, and will comfortable with operating on-site on a full time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design
  • Ensure that relevant tests and inspections are performed
  • Develop and maintain positive client relations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Attend project meetings when required
  • Coordinate on-site inspections
  • Liaise with the Project Team, Contractors and Clients
  • Ensure materials delivered to site meet the specifications and industry quality standards
  • Contribute to the development of more junior staff members

Key requirements:

  • A BSc or BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Membership of a professional engineering body is preferred.
  • Mandatory to be a CSCS cardholder.
  • Experience with critical engineering facilities and/or Data Centres will constitute an advantage.
  • Knowledge of statutory legislation and industry standards.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in quality control procedures and standards.
  • Familiar with the standard forms of contract used in the UK such as JCT, NEC and FIDIC
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge and use of appropriate project control systems and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
